Welcome to Rainbow Bay SLSC
Rainbow Bay Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) was established in 1962 due to the growing population and families finding Rainbow Bay a safe place to swim and a great place to surf.
Rainbow Bay SLSC is the most southern club on the Queensland coastline and is positioned on one of Gold Coast’s only north facing beaches; providing sheltered conditions for swimming and year round perfect sunsets. There are picnic tables, a children’s playground, public BBQ’s and bathroom facilities.
The clubhouse offers members’ training areas, showers/change room and large equipment areas. The upstairs is run by the world famous Rainbow Bay Supporters’ Club.
Rainbow Bay SLSC and Supporters’ Club have memberships for Surf Life Saving, Nippers’, Surf Sports and Social – we have you covered, whatever your requirements are. The club offers a great community service for all age groups and welcomes the public to come & enjoy the facilities at Rainbow Bay SLSC.

We always welcome new members! On or off the beach, there is a volunteer surf life saving role for all. Have the ability to undertake a First Aid/Observers’ Course or currently hold a First Aid Certificate you too can join our beach volunteer Patrol teams. Absolutely anyone can join! You can make a difference to the safety of our beaches, and your community.
Rainbow Bay SLSC Supporter’s Club
The Rainbow Bay SLSC Supporters’ Club has an ocean deck overlooking the beautiful Rainbow Bay, world famous Snapper Rocks surf break and the picturesque hinterland. Our patrons experience some the most beautiful sunsets the Gold Coast has to offer, with spectacular whale watching opportunities during their migration season.
Our licensed club has all that you need to relax and enjoy your day out including restaurant, bar, pokies, sport on a big screen TV and Keno. Come and enjoy a delicious meal, fantastic views and a range of cold beers on tap.
All money raised goes towards supporting the Rainbow Bay Surf Life Saving Club.
